    Elizabeth Sanders is a professor in the Cornell University Government Department. She has published articles on American political development, economic regulation, the impact of black voting in the South, the New Deal, presidential politics and governance, the determinants of voter choice in presidential elections, antitrust policy, and agrarian movements. Her book on the politics of energy regulation won the Kammerer Prize of the American Political Science Assn. for the best book on American public policy in 1982. Her 1999 book, "Roots of Reform: Farmers, Workers, and the American State 1877-1917" was awarded the 2000 Greenstone Prize of the Politics and History Association of APSA.
